This project is targeted at people whose father, mother, son, daughter, sister, or brother has committed or attempted to commit suicide.

Background

The background for the project is the lack of knowledge about which circumstances that protect close relatives against suicidal ideation and suicidal behaviour.

Purpose

The project’s purpose is to examine which circumstances and conditions that protect the next-of-kin against developing suicidal ideation or commit suicide themselves.

Method

Interview with bereaved and next-of-kin.

Status

Completed with a report in Danish.
